Uptime During Broadcast
The Challenge
The production required a reliable, low-latency video uplink from a remote Scottish location with no fixed line and poor single-network mobile coverage. The broadcast had to go live at a fixed time with zero tolerance for outage.
The Solution
SmartWifi deployed a Kiloview P3 bonded encoder with eight SIM cards across multiple mobile networks, supported by a Starlink terminal as automatic failover backhaul. Our Kilolink server infrastructure received and decoded the bonded stream, forwarding a clean HD feed to the broadcast gallery via SRT. Our engineers remained on site for the full broadcast window.
The Result
The broadcast went live on schedule with a stable, sub-second latency video uplink maintained throughout. Starlink failover activated briefly during a period of cellular congestion and the stream continued without interruption.

The Challenge
A stadium venue in Paris required a full end-to-end network infrastructure build for a 10,000-delegate conference. The deployment needed to cover front and back of house operations, support professional audio and video production networks (NDI and Dante), and deliver high-capacity public WiFi — all from a venue with no existing infrastructure suitable for an event of this scale.
The Solution
SmartWifi designed and deployed a structured wired network distributed throughout the stadium, covering front-of-house delegate areas, back-of-house production and operations zones, and all technical areas. Dedicated NDI and Dante network segments were provisioned on isolated VLANs to ensure zero interference between AV production traffic and delegate connectivity. Public WiFi was engineered to support over 10,000 concurrent users across the full stadium footprint. Internet backhaul was provided by two bonded 1 Gbps connections combined with 12 SIM cards across multiple European mobile networks, all bonded together to deliver a resilient, high-throughput uplink with automatic failover.
The Result
All 10,000 delegates connected without issue throughout the event. NDI and Dante networks performed without packet loss or latency spikes. The bonded backhaul maintained full capacity throughout, with automatic load balancing ensuring no single point of failure affected the event.

NOC Monitoring
The Challenge
MSV Group required managed temporary connectivity at multiple racing circuits across the UK to support live timing systems, broadcast uplinks, hospitality WiFi, and media centre operations across a full motorsport season.
The Solution
SmartWifi designed and deployed a standardised connectivity package for each circuit, combining bonded 4G/5G backhaul with enterprise wireless networks across hospitality, media, and paddock areas. Separate VLANs for broadcast, timing, and public WiFi ensured no single use case could impact another. Real-time remote monitoring was maintained from our NOC throughout each event weekend.
The Result
Reliable connectivity delivered across a full season of motorsport events. Zero timing system outages. Broadcast uplinks maintained without interruption at each venue.

Support Calls During Event
The Challenge
A high-profile leadership conference for 800 senior delegates required an enterprise-grade WiFi network with strict security requirements, including client isolation, content filtering, and a completely separate network for AV and presentation systems. The venue's existing infrastructure was insufficient for the delegate density.
The Solution
SmartWifi deployed a dedicated overlay network operating entirely independently of the venue WiFi. Two separate SSIDs — one for delegates, one for AV/production — were provided on isolated VLANs with individual bandwidth management policies. Bonded cellular provided uncontended backhaul for the event, removing any dependency on the venue's shared internet connection. A branded captive portal was deployed for delegate onboarding.
The Result
All 800 delegates connected successfully. AV and streaming systems operated without interference from delegate traffic. Conference live-streamed to remote offices across 12 countries with no interruptions.

Fixed Infrastructure Required
The Challenge
A market research agency needed to conduct live video interviews with members of the public travelling in black cabs, monitored and operated by a remote interviewer. The solution had to work across an entire city with no fixed location, cope with the confined space of a taxi interior, function reliably while the vehicle was moving, and run entirely on vehicle power throughout the working day without draining the cab or requiring external power sources.
The Solution
SmartWifi custom-built a self-contained all-in-one unit designed to fit discreetly inside a black cab. Each unit housed a bonded internet router combining three SIM cards across multiple mobile networks for resilient in-motion connectivity, a remote-access PC allowing the interviewer to operate the session from any location, a bullet camera and microphone for capturing participant responses, a speaker for two-way communication, and a relay screen so participants could view on-screen materials during the interview. The entire unit was engineered to draw power from the vehicle's electrical system, running all day without intervention, and could be removed and reinstalled each day without tools.
The Result
The agency was able to conduct live, remotely moderated interviews with members of the public throughout the working day across London. The bonded connection maintained usable video quality even in areas of variable mobile coverage. The self-contained form factor required no setup from the cab driver and left no permanent installation in the vehicle.

Remote Issues Resolved
The Challenge
Coverage of a multi-stage cycling race across France and Spain required reliable bonded uplinks at multiple finish-line positions, each with variable mobile coverage depending on the stage location. Equipment needed to be rapidly deployable and operable by non-specialist broadcast crews.
The Solution
SmartWifi supplied a fleet of pre-configured Kiloview P3 units with pre-loaded SIM cards across four European networks. Each unit was shipped to the production team with full written and video setup instructions. Our engineers provided remote monitoring and technical support throughout the race, with the ability to adjust streaming parameters remotely as network conditions changed at each stage location.
The Result
Successful live coverage across all stages. Remote support resolved two SIM card issues without requiring engineer travel to the location. All stages broadcast live without outage.
